RYA Day Skipper Theory Course
A comprehensive introduction to chartwork navigation meteorology and the basics of seamanship. Invaluable for learning how to start making decisions on board and if you are considering taking the Day Skipper practical course.

RYA Yachtmaster Theory Course
A comprehensive course covering to chartwork navigation meteorology, the basics of seamanship and the background knowledge required to skipper a yacht on coastal passages by day & night. Invaluable for learning how to start making decisions on board and if you are considering taking the Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster practical course.

RYA Safe & Fun Course
An online course aimed at Dinghy and Windsurfing Instructors and Seniors, and anyone else involved in working with children and/or vulnerable adults at an RYA club or training centre. Newly qualifying Dinghy/Windsurfing Instructors and Senior Instructors are required to complete this course prior to their instructor course.

RYA First Aid
This is a one day course that covers all the usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries or on cross channel passages.

RYA Marine Radio SRC Course
The RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the minimum qualification required to operate marine VHF radio equipment on a UK flagged vessel. It is obtained by successfully completing an SRC exam conducted at an RYA Recognised Training Centre.
SRC exams consist of a written theory exam and assessment in the practical use of marine VHF radios.

RYA Diesel Engine Course
This is a one day course that helps you prevent and solve diesel engine failure. The course will give awareness of the main systems of a marine diesel engine and the ability to prevent breakdown at sea & rectify defects not requiring workshop support. Mechanical failure is the main cause of lifeboat callouts to yachts. This course includes basic maintenance and engine care which will prevent most cases of engine failure.

Outboard Engine Maintenance Course
This courses starts in the classroom looking at some basic theory about how outboards work. Having looked at 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines and their features, you will then start the practical elements of the course. The practical session looks at changing propellers, changing water pumps as well as servicing and winterising outboards and some of the functions available using diagnostics software. Users will get the chance to get hands on with our demo engines and practice the skills they have been shown under the supervision of our instructors. The training will be delivered using real engines.
Please note this is not an RYA course. The RYA do not offer an training courses aimed at outboard maintenance.
